BPD in the Community: On Saturday, December 19, 2020, Commissioner Gross, members of the Command Staff and officers from the Street Outreach Team, Special Operations, Citywide Bicycle Unit, Hazardous Materials Unit, and District A-1 (Downtown), banded together to distribute coats and other essential items through the Coats4Vets Program. Held at City Hall Plaza, the event was sponsored by the Mass Military Support Foundation, the Kraft Family, Ocean State Job Lot, Bomba, Mass Housing, and Home Depot. BPD Officers set up two stations on City Hall Plaza, where they donated hundreds of coats, socks, and gloves to our local veterans in need!
